HR Manager / Assistant Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced HR Manager / Assistant Manager to join our team in Mumbai. The role combines human‑resource management with safety and compliance oversight, and leads training and development initiatives for a diverse workforce.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee recruitment, retention and discipline across all organizational levels.
• Develop, deliver and monitor internal and external training programmes, especially on safety and compliance.
• Maintain a safe, clean and secure work environment by implementing safety protocols and conducting hazard‑risk analyses.
• Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, manage audits, and keep legal registers up to date.
• Lead emergency preparedness, including mock drills and activation of the Emergency Response Team.
• Manage documentation, reporting and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in line with EHS standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety or a related field.
• Proven experience in HR management with a focus on safety and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of labour laws, health and safety regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to analyse data, prepare reports and present findings effectively.
