System Administrator – L2

About the role

Swan Solutions & Services Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced System Administrator (L2) to manage and optimise enterprise‑level server infrastructure across Windows and Linux platforms. The role involves ensuring high availability, security, and performance of critical IT services for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain physical and virtual servers.
• Administer Windows Server and Linux (RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu, CentOS) environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Identity & Access Management, user accounts and permissions.
• Apply patches, updates and hardening measures to keep systems secure.
• Monitor performance, resource utilisation and system health to maximise uptime.
• Automate routine tasks using PowerShell and other scripting tools.
• Perform health checks, log monitoring and preventive maintenance.
• Oversee backup solutions, scheduled jobs and disaster‑recovery processes.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with security standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation, configuration records and operational procedures.
• Support hybrid on‑premises and cloud environments and coordinate with vendors for issue resolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of experience managing enterprise server infrastructure.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Windows Server, VMware, RHCSA/RHCE) are a plus.
