System Administrator

About the role

VisaPro is seeking a System Administrator to manage, support and administer its servers, network devices and desktop computers in Hyderabad. The role involves ensuring the stability, security and performance of the IT infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, support and administer servers, network devices and desktop computers.
• Design and implement network and system security policies.
• Maintain firewalls and overall network infrastructure.
• Install, maintain, support and upgrade operating systems and application software on all servers and network computers.
• Handle system and network monitoring, including intrusion detection, anti-virus, fault detection and performance monitoring.
• Develop recommendations for improvements to systems and network infrastructure.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience with Microsoft Windows environments (Windows Server 2003/2008, Windows XP, Active Directory).
• Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, network protocols, routing and general networking concepts.
• Demonstrable knowledge of industry-standard security practices.
• Experience configuring switches and routers.
• Strong verbal communication skills for interaction with international associates.
• Ability to work effectively within a small, fast-growing team.
