About the role

The Lifestyle Sub Editor will shape engaging digital content across wellness, fashion, beauty, travel, culture, home & living, and relationships. Working in a fast‑paced newsroom, you will ideate, write, edit and package stories that resonate with diverse age groups while maintaining high editorial standards.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and write lifestyle stories aligned with audience interests and current trends.
• Edit and fact‑check content for language accuracy, style, and factual correctness.
• Create compelling headlines and introductions optimized for digital platforms.
• Monitor lifestyle trends, social media buzz, and pop culture to pitch fresh ideas.
• Collaborate with reporters, photographers, and multimedia teams to assemble complete stories.
• Ensure timely publishing while maintaining consistency and quality.
• Optimize articles for SEO and readability.
• Use Canva or similar tools for basic visual edits and story packaging.

Required profile

• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in lifestyle journalism, preferably digital.
• Excellent command of English and strong editing abilities.
• Creative mindset with an eye for unique lifestyle angles.
• Understanding of digital content formats and audience behavior.
• Ability to tailor stories for different age groups and demographics.
• Strong time‑management and multitasking skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Canva for basic visual editing.
• Knowledge of SEO best practices for content optimization.
