Store Manager – Raw Materials & Inventory (Edible Oil)

About the role

The Store Manager will lead the storage, handling, and distribution of raw materials, chemicals, engineering spares, and packaging supplies for an edible oil refinery. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure seamless coordination with production, maintenance, purchase, and quality teams while maintaining compliance with food‑safety and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage receipt, storage, issuance, and stock control of engineering spares, refinery chemicals, and food‑grade packaging materials.
• Maintain proper segregation, labeling, and storage in line with safety and food‑grade norms.
• Set and monitor minimum/maximum stock levels to prevent production downtime.
• Maintain accurate inventory records in Tally ERP, including GRNs, issue slips, stock transfers, and consumption reports.
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification and reconcile discrepancies.
• Prepare and retain documentation for ISO, FSSAI, and internal audits.
• Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Purchase, and Quality departments to enforce FIFO/FEFO practices.
• Oversee vendor and logistics interactions, verify material quality/quantity, and report shortages or damages promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Store Manager or Stores In‑Charge.
• Prior experience in an edible oil refinery, food processing plant, or chemical industry is preferred.
• Strong understanding of engineering spares, industrial chemicals, and food‑grade packaging.
• Familiarity with ISO/FSSAI food‑safety audit requirements.
