Steward/Waiter – Full-time Hospitality Role

About the role

The Shalimar Hotel is seeking a dedicated Steward/Waiter to join its dining team in Mumbai. This full-time, on-site position involves delivering high-quality food and beverage service to our discerning guests while upholding the hotel’s reputation for impeccable hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously, present menus, and take accurate food and drink orders.
• Serve meals and beverages promptly, ensuring correct presentation and timing.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to guarantee smooth order flow and address special requests.
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations in line with health and safety standards.
• Handle payment transactions and provide receipts as needed.
• Assist with setting up and breaking down dining spaces for events and daily service.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills and a professional demeanor when interacting with guests.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
• Prior experience in hospitality or food service is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
