Steward – Event Support

About the role

This full‑time hybrid position supports the Golden Palace International Convention Centre in delivering seamless events. The steward works on‑site to prepare venues and remotely to assist with administrative tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Set up event spaces, arrange seating, and prepare service areas before each event.
• Maintain cleanliness and order during and after events.
• Support food and beverage service, including buffet and table setups, and replenish supplies.
• Coordinate closely with catering and operations teams.
• Guide guests to their assigned areas, respond to requests, and uphold safety and hospitality standards.
• When working remotely, update schedules, manage inventory records, generate reports, and liaise with the events team.

Required profile

• Strong customer‑service and hospitality orientation.
• Ability to follow instructions, report issues promptly, and work as part of a team.
• Organizational and time‑management skills to handle multiple tasks and event schedules.
• Clear communication in English and local languages.
• Basic computer literacy for handling schedules and inventory.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Prior experience in hotel, banquet, convention, or food‑and‑beverage operations is a plus but not mandatory.
