State Head – Wires & Cables (Regional Sales Leader)

About the role

Sturlite Electric is launching a new Power Division focused on wires, cables, and switchgear. The State Head will own the P&L for a brand‑new product category in a designated Indian state, building the business from scratch while leveraging the company’s extensive lighting dealer network.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and develop a zero‑legacy market for Sturlite Power products across the assigned state.
• Lead a team of 46 Area Sales Managers and 1,828 Territory Sales Executives to achieve sales targets.
• Drive channel development, distributor onboarding, and retailer engagement.
• Manage the state‑level P&L, pricing strategy, and inventory flow.
• Coordinate with Joint Business Heads and corporate functions to align product positioning against competitors such as Polycab, Finolex, KEI, and RR Kabel.

Required profile

• Senior management experience in electrical products sales, preferably in wires, cables or switchgear.
• Proven track record of building and scaling sales territories in India.
• Strong P&L ownership and commercial acumen.
• Ability to travel extensively (12‑15 days per month) across the state.
