State Head – Wires & Cables (Power Division)

About the role

Sturlite Voltedge Private Limited is building a new Power Division focused on wires, cables and switchgear. As State Head you will own the P&L for a brand‑new product category within a designated state, leveraging the company’s extensive lighting dealer network to launch and grow the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a go‑to‑market strategy for wires, cables and switchgear in the assigned state.
• Build, lead and mentor a sales team comprising 46 Area Sales Managers and 1,828 Territory Sales Executives.
• Drive revenue growth by acquiring new distributors and retailers, and managing existing channel relationships.
• Ensure product positioning against competitors such as Polycab, Finolex, KEI and RR Kabel.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, stock levels and provide regular P&L reporting to the Joint Business Heads.

Required profile

• Senior management experience in electrical or power product sales, preferably at a regional or state level.
• Proven track record of building and scaling a sales organization in a B2B channel environment.
• Strong understanding of the Indian electrical market and distributor ecosystem.
• Willingness to travel extensively (12‑15 days per month) across the state.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of electrical products, ISI standards and RoHS compliance.
