About the role
Databricks is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join the Partner Ecosystem team. You will design, develop, and maintain high‑performance SQL drivers that power the majority of Databricks' data‑warehousing traffic and enable seamless connectivity for strategic partners.
Key responsibilities
- Build and evolve reliable, high‑throughput SQL connectors for partner and enterprise customers.
- Engage with and grow the open‑source community around SQL connectors.
- Collaborate with SQL server teams to deliver new features based on customer needs.
- Partner with product teams to shape the future of Partner Connect and expand the ecosystem.
Required profile
- BTech or higher in Computer Science or related field.
- 10+ years of production‑level experience in Java, Python, Go, or similar languages.
- Proven track record designing, deploying, and operating highly performant systems.
- Experience maintaining or contributing to open‑source repositories.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional engineering projects.
