Staff Nurse – Patient Care Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team at Apollo Hospitals. The role involves delivering high‑quality nursing care to patients across various departments, ensuring safety, comfort and effective treatment.

Key responsibilities

• Record patients’ medical history, symptoms and vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Collaborate with doctors and multidisciplinary teams to plan and execute patient care.
• Perform point‑of‑care diagnostic tests and nursing assessments.
• Monitor patients’ health status and respond to changes promptly.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure proper bedside care.
• Operate and maintain medical equipment according to protocols.
• Participate in regular in‑service education and training.

Required profile

• Graduate in GNM Nursing, BSc Nursing or MSc Nursing with first‑division marks in 10th and 12th.
• 3 months to 5 years of relevant nursing experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset with initiative and moral support for patients.
• Basic computer literacy.

• Computer literacy for documentation and reporting.
• Operation and maintenance of medical equipment.
• Point‑of‑care testing proficiency.
• Medication administration and dosage calculation.
