Staff Nurse

About the role

Apollo Hospitals is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves delivering high‑quality patient care, maintaining accurate medical records, and supporting junior nursing staff during each shift.

Key responsibilities

• Record medical history and symptoms of patients.
• Administer medication and prescribed treatments.
• Collaborate with doctors and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Perform point‑of‑care tests and conduct comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Monitor patients' health status and respond to changes promptly.
• Provide bedside care and operate medical equipment safely.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and post‑discharge care.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Attend regular in‑service education and training sessions.

Required profile

• Graduate with 1st division in 10th, 12th and a nursing qualification (GNM, BSc Nursing or M.Sc Nursing).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Proven ability to assess health problems, implement care plans and maintain detailed records.
• Leadership capability to guide junior nurses during shifts.
