Staff Engineer – Product Testing

About the role

Join Stryker’s product testing team in Gurugram to lead the development and execution of comprehensive testing strategies for embedded software and medical devices. You will work closely with cross‑functional engineers to ensure product reliability, performance, and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement test plans, cases, and protocols for software, hardware, and firmware integration.
• Develop and maintain automated test fixtures using Qt/QML, Squash, Python, LabVIEW, and C/C++.
• Execute non‑functional testing (accuracy, reliability, performance) and formal system verification.
• Use lab equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, protocol analyzers) for detailed characterization.
• Provide early design feedback, troubleshoot issues, and drive root‑cause resolution.
• Mentor interns and peers while managing test timelines independently.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience in embedded software testing and product testing.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to translate system requirements into detailed test cases.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Experience with quality management systems and V&V activities.

Required skills

• Qt/QML, Squash, Python, LabVIEW, C/C++.
• Embedded protocols: CAN, I2C, UART.
• Test management tools: Jira, Bugzilla.
• Lab instruments: oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, protocol analyzers.
• Automation frameworks: Squish, Robot Framework, Pytest.
• CI/CD pipeline and DevOps tools.
