Staff Back-end Engineer

About the role

As a Staff Software Engineer, Backend, you will work on distributed systems, data‑processing pipelines and next‑generation platforms that serve tens of millions of users daily. You will bring industry best practices to a fast‑growing e‑commerce team and collaborate across multiple geographic locations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the highest quality of architecture and design of system.
• Draw roadmaps and vision for scalable, robust product growth.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to make the platform open and extensible.
• Align with stakeholders and lead engineers on mission‑critical projects.
• Decompose complex problems into simple solutions.
• Deep‑dive and handle critical system issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of software design and development experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Java and Python.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable, highly available systems.
• Strong background in large‑scale system architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Familiarity with container‑based testing environments.
• Experience using IntelliJ and the Spring framework.
