Sr Associate Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Associate Engineer at Anaplan you will lead the delivery of high‑impact product UI on our modern frontend platform. You will own complex features from design through production release, mentor engineers, and raise engineering standards across React/TypeScript, monorepo architecture, design systems, and micro‑frontend boundaries.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and ship React + TypeScript components with custom hooks, performance tuning, and code‑splitting.
• Drive design‑system‑first development using ADS and Material UI, extending shared components.
• Define state and routing patterns at scale with Redux, Zustand, and React Router v5.
• Build complex UI such as high‑density grids, dashboards, drag‑and‑drop widgets, and resilient charts.
• Specify integration contracts for REST and GraphQL, collaborating on BFF design, pagination and caching.
• Advance monorepo practices (pnpm, Nx) and maintain shared libraries and API stability.
• Establish testing strategy with Vitest, React Testing Library, Cucumber and Playwright.
• Champion i18n and WCAG‑based accessibility, handling RTL and locale edge cases.
• Guide micro‑frontend and module‑federation boundaries, and manage Vite/Webpack build configurations.
• Lead production support using Grafana, Splunk and distributed tracing.

Required profile

• Strong experience building large‑scale web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Deep understanding of state management, routing, and performance optimization.
• Proven ability to work in a monorepo environment and contribute to shared libraries.
• Experience with design‑system implementation and accessibility best practices.
• Comfort with REST, GraphQL and backend‑for‑frontend patterns.
