Sr. Architect I, Enterprise Platforms

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Senior Platform Architect to shape the architectural strategy for its internal developer platforms and enterprise services. You will work within the Enterprise Platforms team to deliver scalable, secure, and developer‑friendly solutions that support the firm’s global investment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the architectural vision for internal developer platforms and enterprise services.
• Design reusable patterns, frameworks, and integration strategies to accelerate platform maturity.
• Collaborate with product, infrastructure, and security teams to align platform capabilities with enterprise goals.
• Champion DevSecOps practices and CI/CD maturity using tools such as Git, Bitbucket Pipelines, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, SonarQube, and Artifactory.
• Guide integrations with Atlassian suite, MuleSoft (preferred), Power Platform, and AI‑assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot.
• Promote automation, self‑service engineering, and on‑call support to ensure platform reliability.
• Represent the team in enterprise architecture forums and mentor engineering teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and delivering large‑scale internal platforms.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to influence cross‑functional initiatives.
• Leadership mindset – able to mentor engineers and drive best‑practice adoption.
• Accountability for platform stability, scalability, and long‑term success.
