Spa Receptionist

About the role

Join the JW Marriott Mumbai Spa team as a Spa Receptionist, delivering high‑quality massage and body‑treatment services while ensuring an exceptional guest experience. You will work closely with guests, therapists, and the front‑desk to maintain a welcoming, safe, and professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide massage services and body treatments (scrubs, wraps, hydrotherapy) using appropriate props and products.
• Assess guest needs, verify contraindications (allergies, hypertension, pregnancy) before each service.
• Escort guests to and from treatment rooms, arrange workstations, and maintain a clean, sterile environment.
• Promote and sell spa and retail offerings, handling guest inquiries and upselling where appropriate.
• Monitor treatment schedules, adhere to time slots, and follow Marriott SOPs for inappropriate guest behavior.
• Report accidents, maintain licensure, and comply with all company policies and uniform standards.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant spa or massage experience.
• State or regional massage license.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift ≤10 lb and perform fine‑motor tasks for extended periods.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Massage therapy techniques.
• Body treatment methods (scrubs, wraps, hydrotherapy).
• Sanitation and sterilisation procedures.
• Knowledge of contraindications and guest safety protocols.
