Solution Consultant – System Integration (EDI, Logistics & Transport)

About the role

The Solution Consultant delivers customized integration solutions for internal SAP ERP and satellite systems as well as external partners, using technologies such as EDI, APIs, micro‑services and AI agents. The role operates in a global setting, supporting transport, logistics and warehousing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide tailored integration solutions using EDI, APIs, micro‑services and AI agents for internal and external partners.
• Gather partner requirements and translate them into robust solution designs aligned with business processes and architecture.
• Offer operational support (2nd/3rd level), resolve issues, ensure quality and participate in large‑scale business integration projects.
• Contribute strategically to IT architecture, cross‑process digitalisation and emerging technologies such as generative AI.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business or a STEM field with 4‑6 years of IT experience, or equivalent Bachelor’s/Diploma with 6‑8 years.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in an international environment.
• Hands‑on experience with Agile ways of working.
• Strong business knowledge of logistics, transport management and warehousing processes.

Required skills

• SAP R3 and/or SAP S/4HANA (TM, SD) transactional experience.
• Proficiency with SAP middleware platforms such as SAP PO and SAP CPI Integration Suite.
• Deep understanding of EDI and API connectivity (iDocs, XML, EDIFACT, JSON, UI).
• Experience designing and implementing B2B integrations and micro‑services.
• Familiarity with AI agents and generative AI concepts.
