Software Engineer – Platform/EOS/Networking

About the role

Arista Networks is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Platform team, which works closely with hardware and chip programming. You will help deliver cutting‑edge data‑center switching features and own the design and implementation of critical code.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and document new product features for the EOS operating system.
• Suggest and decide on feature priorities, drive architecture decisions and own the full implementation lifecycle.
• Collaborate with customers in the field when needed to ensure solutions meet real‑world requirements.
• Participate in the complete software development life‑cycle from requirements gathering to delivery.

Required profile

• 3+ years of industry experience in software engineering.
• Strong background in algorithms, software architecture and embedded‑system debugging.
• Hands‑on experience developing for forwarding ASICs, FPGAs or network processors.
• Experience with hardware abstraction layers and datapath forwarding (ACLs, QoS, Unicast, Multicast, EVPN, MPLS, VXLAN, OAM).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
