Software Engineer II - Java, Springboot, AWS

About the role

Join the Employee Experience Technology organization at JPMorganChase as a Software Engineer II. You will work in an agile team to design, develop, and maintain secure, stable, and scalable software components for the firm’s technology products.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and troubleshoot software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and AWS services.
• Write secure, high‑quality code and leverage enterprise‑authorized AI coding assistants to improve productivity.
• Design components with awareness of upstream and downstream system impacts.
• Apply SDLC tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automation to enhance delivery speed and reliability.
• Analyze large data sets to identify issues and support decision‑making for stable application development.

Required profile

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with at least 2 years of applied experience.
• Expert knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and AWS services.
• Hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience using AI‑assisted development tools and evaluating AI‑generated outputs.
• Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and security best practices.
• Exposure to agile methodologies, CI/CD, application resiliency, and security practices.
