Software Engineer II – DevSecOps

About the role

Circles is looking for a hands‑on Software Engineer II to design, implement and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines for multi‑tier applications in public‑cloud environments. The role sits at the core of the DevSecOps discipline, collaborating with principal engineers across several product teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines for containerised applications from build to deployment.
• Establish continuous delivery and deployment pipelines integrated with release workflows.
• Own infrastructure architecture, define non‑functional requirements and align with the technology roadmap.
• Champion Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices, promoting standards, tools and reusable code.
• Develop solutions to improve observability, reliability and operational efficiency, including AI‑driven automation.
• Automate repetitive processes using scripting and software solutions.
• Handle live production incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and maintain runbooks.
• Monitor and manage infrastructure components such as servers, Docker containers, Kubernetes clusters and related backend services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 + years of hands‑on experience with CI/CD platforms, Kubernetes and DevOps/SRE methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for multi‑layer, cloud‑native applications.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
