R&D Senior Member of Technical Staff – Product Development

About the role

The R&D Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) is a senior, hands‑on full‑stack engineer responsible for designing, developing and delivering high‑quality, scalable and secure web and cloud solutions for AVEVA CONNECT.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy and support full‑stack web and cloud applications using C#.NET/ASP.NET Core, Angular and Azure services.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Teams and cross‑functional R&D groups to translate requirements into technical designs and deliver software that meets business and customer needs.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, conduct design/code reviews, mentor junior engineers and promote best practices, including AI‑assisted development tools.
• Ensure security, compliance and performance through secure coding, automated testing and observability practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, improve build reliability and support production releases.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands‑on expertise in C#.NET/ASP.NET Core and enterprise cloud‑based development.
• Proven experience with modern front‑end development, especially Angular (TypeScript) and data‑visualisation libraries such as Highcharts.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure, micro‑services, containers, Kubernetes, messaging and observability.
• Experience with AI/LLM technologies, generative AI and using AI to improve developer productivity.
• Strong software design fundamentals (OOP, SOLID, design patterns) and a security‑first mindset.
