Software Engineer – Front-End (React/Next.js)

About the role

Marriott Tech Accelerator is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Hotel Websites team. The role focuses on building responsive, accessible, high‑performing web experiences that enhance guest interactions across Marriott’s digital portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web features using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TypeScript, and modern front‑end frameworks such as React.js and Next.js.
• Build reusable UI components and translate approved designs into responsive, accessible, and user‑friendly web experiences.
• Integrate front‑end applications with REST APIs and backend services, ensuring cross‑browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
• Write readable, maintainable code following coding, security, testing, and documentation standards.
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and component tests using tools like Jest, Cypress or Playwright.
• Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies and collaborate with designers, product owners, quality engineers and DevOps teams.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional front‑end software engineering experience.
• Hands‑on experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive web development and TypeScript.
• Proficiency with modern front‑end frameworks such as React.js and/or Next.js.
• Experience integrating front‑end applications with REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Git‑based development workflows and Agile practices.
