Software Engineer – AI Solutions

About the role

Cisco is looking for a Software Engineer to design and build AI‑driven software that powers our products and platforms. You will join a collaborative engineering community that spans Cisco IT, Customer & Partner Experience, Supply Chain, and Workplace Technology.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship end‑to‑end AI software solutions, including APIs, backend services, and user interfaces.
• Implement features using modern languages and frameworks such as Python, Java, C++, Spring Boot, and Angular.
• Develop and maintain REST, GraphQL, or gRPC APIs and work with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Integrate cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Cisco Cloud) and AI‑assisted tools.
• Participate in CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (within 3 years) or current student expected to finish within 12 months, or equivalent certification with 1 year relevant experience.
• Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, C++, or Java) and familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend work.
• Experience with Spring Boot, AngularJS, and API development (REST, GraphQL, or gRPC).
• Solid understanding of data structures, OOP, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or Cisco Cloud) and AI‑assisted tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor).
