Site Shift Manager – PMD PT

About the role

The Site Shift Manager is responsible for ensuring safe and reliable plant operations during quiet (silent) hours. The role coordinates emergency response, incident management, and routine maintenance across multiple manufacturing plants and support services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide input for long‑term and short‑term business strategy and coordinate implementation with plant teams.
• Act as the central contact for all site functions, overseeing safe and reliable operations during silent hours.
• Conduct plant rounds to verify compliance with safety, security, quality, regulatory and legal requirements.
• Monitor inter‑plant movement of raw materials, intermediates and products to ensure safe, on‑spec operations.
• Maintain and update Emergency Response Centre facilities.
• Coordinate troubleshooting with plants and support services (CAD, Security, Material Stores, IT, CES) during process upsets, shutdowns or throughput reductions.
• Appraise Site President and Operations Chief on shutdowns or throughput issues.
• Oversee dry drills, manage high‑risk jobs, and act as Incident Controller during mock drills and real emergencies.
• Drive interventions to protect employees, equipment and the environment in line with emergency response procedures.

Required profile

• Ability to coordinate with multiple plant and support departments.
• Commitment to adhere to organizational, regulatory and safety requirements.
• Experience managing emergencies and incidents during off‑peak hours.
