Site Reliability Engineer – Data Engineering (Azure)

About the role

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join Bosch’s Data Engineering team in Bangalore. In this role you will ensure the reliability, scalability and performance of cloud‑native platforms that support our data‑driven products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and operate highly available services on Microsoft Azure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, ARM templates and YAML.
• Maintain and optimise Kubernetes clusters, including Helm charts, Flux and Istio service mesh.
• Collaborate with developers, architects and DevOps teams to embed reliability into the software lifecycle.
• Monitor systems with Grafana, Prometheus and the ELK stack, and manage incident response and post‑mortems.
• Apply DevSecOps practices to enforce cloud security and compliance.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving mindset with attention to detail.
• Experience working in Agile environments and supporting continuous deployment.
• Good communication skills to work across cross‑functional teams.

• Containerisation and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (admin), Helm, Kustomize, Flux, Istio.
• CI/CD tools: Azure‑CLI, KubeCtl, Argo (events, workflows).
• Monitoring and logging: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Programming languages: Python, Go.
• Database technologies: MongoDB, NoSQL.
• DevSecOps and cloud security best practices.
