Shift Supervisor – Polymer Compounding

About the role

A Shift Supervisor is needed in Hinjewadi, Pune, with hands-on experience in Polymer Compounding, Masterbatch Manufacturing, PVC Compounds, Engineering Plastics or related polymer processing industries. The post manages production during shifts, keeping quality, productivity, safety and production schedules on track. The work is full time and in person.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day production during assigned shifts
• Monitor polymer compounding, extrusion, mixing and masterbatch manufacturing processes
• Ensure production targets are met as planned
• Manage operators, helpers and machine technicians during shifts
• Monitor machine performance, productivity and downtime
• Ensure proper use of raw materials, additives, fillers, pigments and masterbatch formulations
• Coordinate with QA/QC, Maintenance and Production Planning teams
• Maintain production reports, shift logs and process records
• Implement 5S, safety practices and SOP compliance
• Troubleshoot process issues and support continuous improvement
• Ensure product quality meets customer and company standards

Required profile

• Experience in polymer compounding or masterbatch manufacturing
• Preferred: exposure to PVC compounds, engineering plastics, color/filler/additive masterbatch
• Preferred industries: polymer compounding, masterbatch, PVC compound, engineering plastics, plastic processing, polymer manufacturing plants, additive/filler/color masterbatch
• Preferred profiles: Diploma in Plastics Technology (CIPET), B.Tech Polymer/Petrochemical Engineering, Polymer Chemistry graduates with production experience, candidates from polymer compounding or masterbatch production environments

Required skills

• Knowledge of twin-screw extruders, mixers, feeders and compounding equipment
• Understanding of polymer processing parameters and production controls
• Knowledge of quality systems, process monitoring and production documentation
• Basic understanding of OEE, rejection analysis and process optimization

Pay is stated as 350,000 to 400,000 INR per year. Applicants are asked to state their current and expected CTC, notice period and work location.
