QA/QC Technician – Polymer Testing Lab

About the role

A QA/QC Technician is needed for a polymer testing lab in Pune (Hinjewadi). The role involves laboratory testing of raw materials and finished polymer products to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Perform physical and mechanical testing of polymer materials, including Melt Flow Index (MFI), tensile strength, impact testing and HDT/VST testing.
• Inspect incoming raw materials and finished products.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as the MFI tester, universal testing machine (UTM), Izod impact tester, HDT/VST apparatus and spectrophotometer.
• Record and maintain test reports and quality documentation.
• Support quality audits and compliance activities.
• Keep the laboratory clean, calibrated and safe.

Required profile

• Diploma or B.E. in Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or CIPET.
• 1-3 years of experience in polymer compounding or plastics manufacturing.
• Experience in QA/QC testing for masterbatch or engineering plastics is preferred.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of polymer testing standards and laboratory procedures.
• Ability to operate MFI testers, UTM, Izod impact testers and HDT/VST apparatus.

Compensation is listed as 3-3.5 LPA.
