Senior Technical Solutions Engineer – Platform Support

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Solutions Engineer to join Databricks’ Platform Support team in Bengaluru. In this frontline position you will own critical incidents on the Databricks Data Intelligence platform, work directly with customers and drive platform improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for escalated issues, providing expert troubleshooting and resolution.
• Lead high‑priority incident management, conduct root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to share insights and drive platform enhancements.
• Maintain documentation, knowledge bases and training materials for support engineers.
• Monitor performance metrics, manage platform upgrades and patches, and propose optimizations.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of hands‑on technical support or engineering experience with Databricks, cloud data platforms or big‑data technologies.
• Strong analytical problem‑solving ability and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven experience delivering high‑impact customer interactions and working in cross‑functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field; advanced degree or certifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Databricks architecture and Apache Spark™.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux administration and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with log analysis, monitoring tools and distributed computing.
• Exposure to Hadoop, Kafka, NoSQL databases, automation tools and CI/CD pipelines.
