Senior Tax Compliance Analyst – Direct Tax

About the role

As a Regional Tax Compliance Senior Analyst – Direct Tax, you will support tax compliance and reporting across multiple European jurisdictions. Reporting to the Area Tax Compliance & Reporting Senior Manager and working closely with market Controllers, you will prepare, review and file direct tax returns while providing analytical insights for business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Support preparation and review of direct tax returns and related documentation.
• Review returns prepared by an outsourced Big‑4 partner.
• Prepare and support group tax reporting, including submissions into Longview.
• Gather and analyse financial data for tax reporting and compliance.
• Coordinate with internal departments to ensure accurate, timely tax submissions.
• Prepare filings for transactional taxes such as withholding and stamp duty and obtain certificates.
• Prepare local tax returns (municipal, state) and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or tax.
• 5‑8 years of experience in tax compliance or analysis.
• Strong technical knowledge of fragmented direct tax regulations in Europe.
• Experience in a Shared Service Center or Center of Excellence environment is desired.
• Advanced English; additional European languages (e.g., Portuguese, French, Italian) are a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Experience with SAP.
• Familiarity with Longview or other tax accounting and reporting software.
