Senior Systems Engineer – Pre‑Sales

About the role

We are looking for a senior systems engineer to join Arista’s Sales Engineering team in Delhi, providing pre‑sales technical support for enterprise and commercial customers across Northern India.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Account Managers to understand customer pain points and conduct network architectural reviews.
• Present Arista’s Open Networking Data Centre, Cognitive Campus, CloudVision, security and monitoring solutions.
• Architect, design and propose leaf‑spine (VxLAN, EVPN) data‑centre and campus network solutions.
• Perform hands‑on proof‑of‑concept tests and validate network designs.
• Develop design guidelines, respond to RFP/RFQs and provide feedback to product teams.
• Represent Arista at SDN and Open Networking events and author technical white papers.

Required profile

• BE/BS/CS/CE degree (technical) and 10+ years of L2/L3 networking design and implementation experience.
• Experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, Pre‑Sales SE or Network Consulting Engineer preferred.
• Network industry certifications such as CCIE or JNCIE are a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• L2/L3 routing and switching (Cisco, Juniper, Extreme, Aruba).
• Ethernet, RSTP/MSTP, VLANs, IP routing, BGP/eBGP, VxLAN, EVPN, Multicast, QoS.
• Network automation using Python and Ansible.
• Experience with SDN, NFV and network overlays.
• CLI proficiency and knowledge of competitive networking products.
