Senior System Engineering Specialist (Kubernetes, CI/CD, Python Automation)

About the role

AT&T is hiring a Senior System Engineering specialist in Bengaluru as an offshore DevOps/infrastructure support lead for Automation Tools and 4G/5G Core Network Simulators across NPRD/Labs and PROD environments. The role involves designing CI/CD pipelines, automating Kubernetes deployments and managing infrastructure, with daily collaboration with U.S. stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines with a 3-tier architecture to automate packaging, publishing and deployments.
• Maintain Helm v3 (OCI) charts and publish artifacts to JFrog Artifactory OCI.
• Automate Kubernetes deployments with Python scripts, including config substitution, sequencing and health checks.
• Manage secrets end-to-end: Ansible Vault encryption, HashiCorp Vault runtime retrieval and token rotation.
• Provision and run KVM/QEMU/libvirt VMs on Simzone hosts, with SR-IOV passthrough and host networking.
• Write Infrastructure-as-Code with OpenStack HEAT and Azure Bicep, and configure advanced K8s networking and storage (Multus, MetalLB, Calico, Rook-Ceph).
• Build a large Ansible automation footprint and run AOSM lifecycle pipelines to publish NF definitions and deploy to NAKS.
• Drive environment promotion from NPRD to PROD, manage per-instance configuration at scale and set up observability with kube-prometheus-stack and DORA metrics.
• Manage certificate lifecycles, supply-chain security artifacts and multi-repo governance, and build AI-assisted DevOps tooling.
• Provide incident response, troubleshooting and chaos testing support.

Required profile

• Offshore role requiring daily collaboration with U.S. stakeholders and overlapping work hours.
• Weekly hours of 40, regular schedule.
• Preferred: experience with AOSM pipelines, KVM/QEMU/libvirt VM fleets, supply-chain security artifacts and large-scale repo governance.
