Senior Quality Test Engineer I

About the role

The Senior Quality Test Engineer I will ensure high‑quality, accessible digital experiences by leading UI test automation, accessibility testing, and AI‑assisted quality engineering. Working closely with product and engineering teams, the role drives risk‑based testing and continuous improvement of testing practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions for UI, API, and regression testing.
• Apply risk‑based testing techniques to prioritize test effort and boost release confidence.
• Execute automated and exploratory testing covering functional, usability, and accessibility requirements.
• Leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to improve test design, data creation, and automation efficiency.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Developers, and Architects to ensure testable, complete requirements.
• Analyse defects, logs, monitoring data, and test results to identify risks and support root‑cause analysis.
• Contribute to the evolution of automation frameworks, quality practices, and engineering standards.

Required profile

• 6+ years of Quality Engineering/QA experience with a strong focus on test automation for web applications.
• Hands‑on experience with UI automation frameworks such as Playwright or Selenium.
• Proven expertise in Accessibility Testing, including WCAG 2.1/2.2, Axe, Lighthouse, and inclusive design principles.
• Experience testing modern web applications, responsive interfaces, and cross‑browser compatibility.
• Strong knowledge of API testing, REST services, and SQL/data validation.
• Experience implementing automated tests within CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted testing tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) and cloud platforms (AWS or similar).
• Excellent analytical, debugging, and root‑cause investigation skills, with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
