Senior Quality Engineer Coach

About the role

Invesco is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer Coach to lead quality strategy and capability uplift across multiple squads and platforms. The role combines program‑level governance with hands‑on coaching, ensuring scalable, pragmatic testing practices while integrating AI‑assisted insights where they add clear value.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑define and govern quality strategy for a portfolio, aligning with business outcomes and architectural direction.
• Establish program standards for test design, data management, environments, release readiness, and defect prevention.
• Coach QE leads, developers, and SDETs through pairing, test code reviews, and framework adoption.
• Develop and maintain playbooks for API‑first testing, contract testing, deterministic UI strategies, and test data management.
• Guide automation adoption across unit, API, contract, integration, UI, and performance layers, ensuring fast, reliable feedback.
• Maintain and evolve automation architecture for scalability, observability, and cost efficiency.
• Integrate AI‑assisted capabilities such as test impact analysis and flaky test detection with appropriate guardrails.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to engineering managers, architects, and product partners on quality risk and release readiness.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in quality engineering and test automation.
• Proven ability to lead quality strategy across multiple teams or programs.
• Strong coaching and mentorship skills, with experience guiding QE leads and developers.
• Excellent communication and advisory capabilities with engineering and product stakeholders.
