Senior Project Manager – Program & Project Management

About the role

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead large‑scale, complex offshore delivery programs. You will combine strong execution with a consulting mindset, aligning project activities to client business outcomes and leveraging AI‑enabled PMO practices.

Key responsibilities

• Manage project planning, scope, resource allocation and budget across multiple cross‑functional teams.
• Establish and oversee program governance, including stakeholder communication, change management and scope control.
• Track performance against metrics such as bid vs. did, SLA and contractual measures, providing improvement insights.
• Apply a consulting and transformation mindset to connect delivery activities with client strategy and value creation.
• Drive end‑to‑end program delivery using AI‑enabled tools and modern PMO practices.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals, solutioning and risk identification.
• Lead and mentor a team of 4–12 direct reports, fostering diversity, inclusion and career growth.

Required profile

• 10–12 years of experience in strategy, operations, process consulting, stakeholder management or project/program delivery, preferably in legacy modernization or digital transformation.
• Demonstrated consulting and transformation mindset with the ability to frame business outcomes.
• Proven ability to manage large, multi‑team programs and maintain senior‑level client relationships.
• Experience leading and developing teams, mentoring junior project managers.
