Senior Product Development Engineer

About the role

The Senior Product Development Engineer will lead the design and development of new mechanical components, subsystems and complete compressor packages. Working within a cross‑functional environment, you will drive concepts from feasibility through prototype manufacturing, ensuring that each product meets performance, reliability and cost targets.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule product design and development activities across multiple projects and variants.
• Design and develop components, subsystems and compressor packages in line with project plans and the EPDP stage‑gate process.
• Coordinate design validation activities with cross‑functional teams, including testing and verification.
• Provide technical input to support procurement, supplier selection and development processes.
• Execute redesigns and engineering changes, including special projects, to meet evolving business requirements.

Required profile

• B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–8 years of experience in new product development and product lifecycle management.
• Hands‑on experience with compressor design, rotating equipment (pumps, blowers, turbines) or heavy‑equipment subsystems.
• Strong fundamentals in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics and strength of materials.
• Familiarity with design calculations, analysis and EPDP or similar stage‑gate processes.
