About the role
Principal is seeking a Senior Process Specialist – Custodian to join its Finance/Insurance division. You will ensure high‑quality pension benefit payments and deliver smooth customer experiences while collaborating with a driven team focused on continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Process lump‑sum and periodic pension benefit payments, including ACH returns, NOC, reclaims, and death benefits.
- Update pension participant records (addresses, banking details, tax withholding).
- Research inquiries, resolve customer complaints, and handle time‑sensitive documents.
- Develop and revise departmental procedures to boost efficiency.
- Coordinate cross‑departmental activities and provide reporting using multiple data sources.
- Perform quality checks on peer work and lead process‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in US pension operations, benefit payments, and trust & custody knowledge.
- Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills with business partners and management.
- Willingness to work the 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM shift.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
