Senior Platform Engineer (AI Focused)

About the role

EarnIn is seeking a Senior AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and operate AI‑assisted capabilities within its platform infrastructure. The role blends traditional platform engineering with AI engineering, focusing on production‑grade workflows that improve developer efficiency, reliability, and cost. This hybrid position is based in Bengaluru with two days on‑site per week.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build MCP servers that expose platform capabilities as safe, scoped tools for AI agents and developer assistants.
• Create agentic workflows for incident triage, deployment validation, config remediation, and capacity planning, integrating AI‑assisted code review tools.
• Operationalize LLM‑based features, including structured prompting, retrieval‑augmented generation, output validation, and cost‑controlled routing.
• Develop and maintain GitOps‑based continuous delivery pipelines on AWS EKS using Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Enhance observability and reliability through SLOs, error budgets, metrics, traces, and automated remediation to improve MTTD/MTTR.
• Instrument platform cost signals and build FinOps automation to surface waste and support cost‑aware engineering decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or backend engineering, with production systems in a cloud environment (AWS preferred).

Required skills

• Strong programming in Python and/or Go.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes (EKS), GitOps (Argo CD), CI/CD (GitHub Actions).
• Infrastructure‑as‑code expertise using Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize.
• Observability using Datadog (APM, metrics, tracing, logs).
• FinOps knowledge for cloud cost attribution and AI/LLM spend control.
• Hands‑on experience building MCP servers and integrating LLM gateways/router patterns.
