Senior Performance Engineer

About the role

Barclays is looking for a Senior Performance Engineer to join its technology team in Pune, within the Group Economic Crime COO area. The role leads the evolution of infrastructure and deployment pipelines, building and managing robust, scalable and secure infrastructure so that digital solutions are delivered smoothly. The position is permanent.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute testing strategies to validate functionality, performance and user experience, and work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve defects.
• Develop and implement test plans and strategies, and create and run automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools.
• Work with teams to analyse requirements, take part in design discussions and help define acceptance criteria.
• Analyse root causes of defects and support developers in resolving them.
• Take part in code reviews and share knowledge with peers.

Required profile

• Experience with end-to-end performance testing, including gathering, script preparation, execution and analysis.
• Experience in load runners such as LoadRunner, JMeter or Neoload.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics or Dynatrace.
• Experience in application and database resilience, operational acceptance testing, alerting and monitoring, and accessibility testing.
• Experience with AWS or Azure and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
• Ability to work in a team, with good verbal and written communication skills.
