Senior Payroll Executive - 6 Month Contract

About the role

FE fundinfo, a financial data provider serving the investment industry across the UK, Europe and Asia-Pacific, is hiring a Senior Payroll Executive for a 6-month contract in Chennai. The role covers end-to-end monthly payroll operations for India, working with HR, Finance and external vendors, and contributes to process improvement through analytics and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute end-to-end monthly payroll operations for India with HR, Finance and external vendors
• Validate payroll inputs, ensure timely approvals and maintain accuracy and compliance
• Review payroll reports and provide analytical insights for management decisions
• Handle statutory compliance including PF, ESI, PT and TDS, and support audits and filings
• Prepare payroll journals, reconciliations, full and final settlements and coordinate salary disbursements
• Drive process improvements through automation, analytics and efficient payroll governance

Required profile

• 3-5 years of hands-on payroll experience in a fast-paced or corporate environment
• Strong knowledge of India payroll compliance, taxation and statutory requirements
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, SAP, Workday, Allsec or similar
• Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to manage payroll timelines independently with accuracy and confidentiality

• MS Excel, with strong analytical and reporting capabilities
