Senior Payroll Associate – Tax & Payroll Services

About the role

EY is seeking a Senior Payroll Associate to lead end‑to‑end payroll processing for multiple multinational clients. You will ensure accurate payroll delivery, compliance with legislation, and high‑quality client advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Support payroll system set‑up, data migration and transition for new clients.
• Execute full payroll cycles, including reconciliation, salary disbursement, over‑payment recovery, leave management and reporting.
• Prepare complex payroll data and assist with quality control, ensuring data integrity.
• Assist clients with taxation, superannuation and statutory filing requirements.
• Provide responsive advisory services, resolve payroll enquiries and implement corrective actions.
• Coach, mentor and coordinate activities of junior staff.
• Contribute to the Hub’s methodology framework and produce ad‑hoc reports as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in high‑volume, full‑function payroll processing.
• Strong numeracy, attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Experience with a large ERP system.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
