Senior Mobile Software Engineer (Android & iOS)

About the role

Flipkart is seeking a Senior Mobile Software Engineer to help evolve its flagship Android and iOS retail apps, which have already achieved over 100 million downloads. You will work on a platform that enables page‑level components to be built through configuration, ensuring the app remains ultra‑light, highly performant, and intuitive for millions of users.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement reusable UI components based on product requirements.
• Develop native Android features using Kotlin and iOS features using Swift, as well as cross‑platform solutions with React Native.
• Write modular, extensible, and high‑performance code while adhering to Android Architecture Components.
• Optimize app performance for limited‑resource devices, focusing on memory, CPU, and battery usage.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, conducting code reviews and sharing best practices.

Required profile

• B.E/B.Tech or equivalent engineering degree.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in mobile development.
• Strong understanding of the mobile ecosystem, its limitations, and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with Android Architecture components and staying up‑to‑date with platform changes.
• Proven ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
