Linux System & HPC Administrator – IT Infrastructure & Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Linux and High‑Performance Computing (HPC) administrator to manage, optimise and scale our enterprise‑wide HPC infrastructure. The role will involve maintaining both bare‑metal and virtual Linux environments that support semiconductor design workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch and upgrade Linux operating systems (Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu) across physical and virtual servers.
• Deploy, monitor and tune HPC clusters, ensuring high utilisation and reliable job scheduling with tools such as LSF and Slurm.
• Maintain core infrastructure services including DNS, LDAP, NFS and web/application servers.
• Implement security hardening, vulnerability remediation and support audit and compliance activities.
• Respond to incidents, perform root‑cause analysis of scheduler anomalies and document corrective actions.
• Develop automation scripts and support configuration‑management/DevOps initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering, network, security, cloud and HPC development teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of Linux system administration in a large‑scale or EDA/HPC environment.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with HPC workload managers such as LSF or Slurm.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and work across cross‑functional teams.
