Software Tech Support Engineer (Semiconductor)

About the role

Provide software support for semiconductor equipment installed at customer sites worldwide, collaborating with R&D, hardware, and application teams to ensure tools function as designed.

Key responsibilities

• Act as Tier‑1 technical support for software issues, resolving complex customer problems without code changes.
• Reproduce issues on internal systems, perform root‑cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain lab environments, conduct dry‑run activities for new software releases, and support on‑site installations and upgrades.
• Develop training programs for field engineers, create utilities and tools, and collaborate with DevOps to improve customer experience.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in semiconductor fab automation or equipment integration.
• Strong understanding of SECS/GEM, HSMS and factory automation systems.
• Experience with MES, equipment control software and scripting languages.
