Senior Mechanical Engineer – Automotive Electronics

About the role

Visteon is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design and development of electronic cockpit components for the automotive market. You will work within a global, cross‑functional team to create innovative, high‑quality products that support the shift to electric and autonomous vehicles.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical solutions for automotive electronic products such as multi‑display units, clusters and related modules.
• Provide mechanical support throughout product release, change management and production phases.
• Create and update 3D CAD models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5.
• Conduct tolerance stack‑up analyses, GD&T specifications and feasibility studies.
• Lead DFMEA activities and ensure compliance with Visteon’s engineering processes.
• Coordinate project tasks, manage timelines and communicate with internal customers and external suppliers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with automotive electronic products (e.g., multi‑display, cluster) is preferred.
• Fluent verbal and written English.
• Strong ability to interact with customers and suppliers.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CATIA V5 for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.
• Knowledge of tolerance stack‑up and GD&T.
• Experience performing DFMEA and feasibility analyses.
• Project management and process‑compliance expertise.
