Senior Manager – Project Design & Execution (Pharma)

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the design and execution of formulation projects across India, covering both brownfield and greenfield sites. The role spans the full project lifecycle from concept through commercialisation, with a focus on sterile dosage forms and efficient manufacturing line design.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute formulation projects, ensuring line balancing, capacity calculations and cost‑saving measures.
• Develop and implement energy‑efficient systems at all manufacturing locations.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including cGMP norms.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, monitor daily progress and enforce strict safety standards to achieve zero‑incident sites.
• Review and evaluate design documents from consultants, applying relevant codes such as IS, NBC and SMACNA.
• Lead a team of 10+ engineers, coordinating site execution across multiple locations.
• Oversee bill verification, contractor measurements and procurement activities.

Required profile

• BE/BTech in Mechanical or Electrical engineering with at least 70 % academic score.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including sterile and aseptic operations.
• Proven track record as project lead on investments exceeding ₹100 million.
• Experience managing teams of ten or more engineers.
• Familiarity with HVAC design for sterile environments (PFS, SVP, LVP).
