Senior Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories is seeking a Senior Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant operation of plant electrical and mechanical systems. The role focuses on executing preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance, troubleshooting breakdowns, and supporting automation to minimise downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and mitigate hazards during critical maintenance activities, managing work permits, LOTO procedures, and JSA reviews.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor predictive, preventive, and shutdown maintenance tasks.
• Maintain housekeeping standards in utility areas and ensure availability of critical spares while controlling consumption.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment failures and coordinate rapid corrective actions.
• Support automation and control systems, ensuring reliable operation and minimal interruptions.
• Coordinate with vendors for technical support, spare parts procurement, and service contracts.
• Lead equipment qualification, validation, and documentation in line with regulatory and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of managing preventive, predictive, and shutdown maintenance programmes.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations, LOTO, and JSA processes.
• Experience working with automation and control systems in a regulated industry.
• Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and communicate effectively with vendors.
