Senior Construction Manager – Mechanical

About the role

The Senior Construction Manager – Mechanical will lead the planning, execution, and supervision of all civil, mechanical and electrical works for a pumped‑storage hydro project. You will ensure that each work front meets safety, schedule, budget and quality targets while coordinating closely with design, survey and QA/QC teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multiple construction fronts including dams, intake/outlet structures, reservoir works, powerhouse, penstock, access roads, tunnels, switchyard and balance‑of‑plant activities.
• Prepare, monitor and update construction schedules, resource plans, method statements and work sequences.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors, overseeing manpower, machinery, progress and compliance with specifications.
• Enforce HSE management plans, risk assessments and safety protocols on site.
• Liaise with client, consultant, design teams, government authorities and third‑party auditors.
• Produce daily, weekly and monthly progress reports and control project budgets, material consumption and productivity.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing large‑scale civil, mechanical and electrical construction projects, preferably in hydro‑electric or pumped‑storage facilities.
• Strong knowledge of project documentation, QA/QC procedures and HSE regulations.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
