About the role

Databricks is building the world’s best data and AI infrastructure platform. As a Senior Backend Software Engineer you will work with your team to design and operate large‑scale infrastructure that powers the Databricks platform.

Key responsibilities

Build foundational infrastructure platforms that enable seamless operation across multiple geographic regions and cloud providers.
Implement cloud‑agnostic infrastructure abstractions to help engineers manage and operate services more efficiently.
Develop tools and processes that improve engineering efficiency, including optimizing the Rust development experience across the organization.

Required profile

BS or higher in Computer Science or a related field.
6+ years of production‑level experience with Python, Java, Scala, C++ or similar languages.
Proven experience building large‑scale distributed systems and working on SaaS platforms or service‑oriented architectures.
