Senior Automotive High‑Speed Hardware Architect

About the role

Bosch is seeking an experienced Automotive High‑Speed Hardware Design Engineer to lead the design and development of advanced electronic control and compute platforms for ADAS, Cockpit, IVI and Connectivity systems. The role focuses on SoC‑based, ASIL‑D compliant hardware with high‑speed interfaces, thermal management, and multi‑sensor integration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hardware design and development for ADAS, Cockpit and Connectivity ECUs from concept to production.
• Design high‑speed digital boards using advanced SoCs, DDR4/DDR5, LPDDR, PCIe, Ethernet (RGMII/SGMII/RMII/10G), USB, MIPI CSI/DSI and SerDes.
• Perform schematic design, component selection and BOM optimisation while ensuring automotive‑grade reliability and cost efficiency.
• Conduct Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) analysis for critical high‑speed signals and power rails.
• Support thermal design and validation in collaboration with mechanical and thermal engineers.
• Ensure ASIL‑D compliance (ISO 26262) through FMEA, FMEDA and safety architecture reviews.
• Integrate camera, radar, LiDAR and sensor‑fusion modules, guaranteeing signal quality, timing and synchronization.
• Work closely with PCB layout engineers to enforce impedance, stack‑up and other constraint‑driven design requirements.

Required profile

• B‑Tech or M‑Tech in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• 7‑10 years of experience in automotive high‑speed hardware design.
• Proven track record of delivering production‑grade hardware for safety‑critical automotive applications.
• Strong understanding of ASIL‑D, ISO 26262 and automotive safety processes.
• Excellent collaboration skills with system architects, PCB designers, mechanical and software teams.
